John Marconi
KANE — John M. Marconi, 51, of Pennsylvania Avenue passed away Sunday (July 6, 2025) at UPMC Kane as the result of a construction accident.
Born March 21, 1974, in Kane, he was a son of John and Betsy Zook Marconi.
John was a self-employed building and remodeling contractor. He also was a well-known drummer and musician and played in several bands throughout the years. He was an amateur archeologist with a great love of history, and loved riding his bike on the trails.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Michael (Christy) Marconi of Kane; one sister, Kristin (Boyd) Lewis of Kane; his companion, Kate Kennedy, and their son, Matthew Marconi; daughters Kylie Marconi and Charlie Marconi; sons Nick Marconi and Dylan Bostjancic; one uncle, Karl Rietter; three aunts, Jo Ellen Marconi, Lea Ann (Jeff) Dissen and Patti Marconi; and his beloved nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Marconi; his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Carol Zook; two aunts, Anita Rietter and Patti Zook; and two uncles, Roger and Henry Marconi.
John would want everyone to help one another, to get out into nature, and to love and live fearlessly with an open mind and heart.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at 6 p.m. Friday (July 11, 2025) at Thomas L. Kane Memorial Chapel.
