Beverly Dittman
EMPORIUM — Beverly A. “Bev” Stroup Dittman, 89, of Emporium, formerly of Bradford, passed away peacefully Saturday (July 5, 2025) at Guy and Mary Felt Manor.
Born March 22, 1936, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late William Francis and Viola Walter Stroup. She graduated from Bradford High School with the class of 1954. On Feb. 1, 1985, in Friendship, N.Y., she married the late F. Ronald Dittman.
Bev received her licensed practical nurse (LPN) license in 1969 and her registered nurse (RN) credential in 1983, and was dedicated to nursing until she retired in 2004.
Through the years, she loved to go camping and snowmobiling and spend time with her family and cherished pets.
She is survived by one daughter, Jill (Don) Perry of Emporium; and one son, David Persichini of Bradford; eight grandchildren, Joy Brown, Dave Persichini, Caitlin (Brandon) Dill, Kevin and Bryan Magee, Chrissy Reigel, Jen (Steven) Pearsall and Missy (Bill) Feronti. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Katherine Holden; two nephews, Bill (Mel) and Scott Holden; and her longtime friend, Patricia Larson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bev was preceded in death by one daughter, Dana (Persichini) Magee; one nephew, Kevin Holden; one brother-in-law, Lavern Holden; and one grandson, Anthony “Tony” Perry.
At Bev’s request, there will be no public visitation.
