Catholic foundation awards grant to St. Bernard Parish
St. Bernard of Clairvaux parishioners will have a more welcoming meeting room thanks to a grant from the Catholic Foundation of Northwest Pennsylvania.
A first-time grant recipient, St. Bernard Parish received a Faith Formation grant to support renovations to a faith formation meeting room, which will transform the outdated room into a more inviting space for small groups and formation lessons, representatives said.
“This project is intended to benefit the young adults beginning with Confirmation students up through the entire adult community of the parish,” the Rev. John Jacquel, pastor, wrote in his application. “The updates will facilitate the parish’s mission of creating a more vibrant faith community.”
The Catholic Foundation grant is possible because of donations to the Faith Formation Endowment. The Catholic Foundation of Northwest Pennsylvania is an independent 501(c)(3) corporation and the only community foundation in northwest Pennsylvania guided by Catholic values.
