SMETHPORT – A benefit will be held for Rob VanGorder from 3 to 8 p.m. July 10 at the Smethport Fire Hall.

The event will include a concert by the Barr Family Band, food by Raught’s Roadside Kitchen, basket raffles, a pie auction and a baked goods sale.

VanGorder received a life-saving liver transplant at the Cleveland Clinic on June 20. He has several months of recovery in Cleveland ahead of him. All funds raised will go directly toward helping his family offset the cost of housing and meals while they are staying near Cleveland to support him.
