National Fuel Foundation announces grants
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — Recently, the board of directors of the National Fuel Gas Co. Foundation, the charitable giving arm of National Fuel Gas Co., approved Foundation grants totaling $245,000.
According to David P. Bauer, foundation president and president and CEO of National Fuel, funding that was approved supports grants that reflect the foundation’s pillars of community enrichment and safety, education, environmental stewardship and veterans services and includes recommendations by Employee Resource Groups and partners from its Days of Doing volunteer events.
“The foundation is pleased to support more than 50 organizations that provide a wide variety of essential work across our service territory,” Bauer said. “Many of these foundation grants support summer youth programs, camps and activities, outdoor education and the parks and recreation areas we enjoy during warmer months.”
Through the Employee Resource Group Grant Program, employee-led teams focused on diversity and inclusion nominate nonprofit organizations to receive funding. This year’s grant recipients include LEEK Hunting & Mountain Preserve and Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc.
The following partner grants from Days of Doing, the company’s annual three-day volunteer event, include Girl Scouts of Western New York, Friends of Twin Lakes ANF, Pennsylvania Parks & Forest Foundation, Trout Unlimited, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Veterans Leadership Program and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.
