NPRC welcomes new members to board of trustees
WARREN — NPRC’s Board of Trustees welcomed three new members during its March and June meetings. The new trustees have replaced members whose terms have expired or who previously resigned from the board. Appointed Trustees serve three-year terms.
Joining the Board of Trustees are Jessica Herzing of Emporium, Ryan Betts of Warren and Justin Leventry of Camp Hill.
Herzing currently serves as commissioner chair for Cameron County while also working for Judd A. Schager CPA as a senior staff accountant. Herzing holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Central Penn College and a Bachelor of Science in business management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her volunteer work includes serving as a project coordinator for Cameron County’s Community Heart and Soul Initiative, as a board member for the Community Education Center of Elk & Cameron Counties, and as audit committee chair for Pennsylvania Humanities.
“I am honored to join the Board of Trustees of Northern Pennsylvania Regional College,” Herzing said. “Having served on NPRC’s Advisory Committee for several years, I’ve seen first-hand the impact this institution has had on rural students and communities across our region. NPRC is not just providing affordable education — it’s creating pathways to opportunity, stability and meaningful careers. Service to my community has always meant investing in efforts that bring real, lasting change and NPRC embodies that mission. I look forward to supporting the college’s continued growth and commitment to accessible, high-quality education for all.”
Betts is currently employed as the executive vice president for Betts Industries Inc. in Warren. “Warren was truly blessed to be chosen as the home of NPRC, and I’m grateful for the vision and dedication of the local leaders who made that possible,” Betts said. “The college’s work laid a strong foundation for something incredibly impactful. I’m honored to now serve on the board, representing Warren County, and to help guide NPRC toward its full potential. As a community member and business leader, I’ve seen the positive influence NPRC has on our region and I’m proud to contribute to its continued success.”
Leventry currently serves as the Chief of Staff for Sen. Scott Hutchinson, a position he has held for more than 12 years. Leventry has dedicated his career to public service, working on behalf of rural Pennsylvania, and has over 16 years of combined experience supporting two senators from northwest Pennsylvania.
