Rotary hears from Break the Chains Coalition
Port Allegany Rotary Club held its weekly meeting Thursday at Port Allegany Moose Lodge 460. Guest speakers for the day were Amanda Miles-Rudolph and Lynn Keck, shown with Rotary Club President Jim Young and Program Chair Ki Bayline. The pair spoke about the Ninth Annual Break the Chains Festival to be held on the Town Square on July 25 and 26. Break the Chains (BTC) Coalition’s goal is to reach out to local communities to ultimately break the chains of addictions, oppression and depression. The BTC Coalition, members said, wants to bring light, hope and love to the broken, the hopeless, the addicted and the depressed. “Our prayer is to see the culture changed, captives set free, and have lives transformed into who God created them to be — whole and loved.” For more information, find BTC on Facebook, visit breakthechainscoalition.com or email breakthechainsfestival@gmail.com. The club presented BTC with a donation of $250.
