Bradford United U12 Boys Capture Southern Tier Travel Soccer League Title in Dominant Fashion
WESTFIELD, N.Y. – The Bradford United U12 boys team capped off an incredible season with a commanding 9-3 victory over Northlake in the Southern Tier Travel Soccer League (STTSL) championship game, claiming the 2025 league title on Saturday.
From the opening whistle, Bradford United showed they meant business. Just four minutes into the match, Landon Fitzpatrick opened the scoring with a textbook header off a perfectly placed corner kick from Chael Johnson. That early goal set the tone, and within a minute, Ryan Feely added another to make it 2-0. From there, the United team poured it on rather quickly. Chael Johnson led the way by netting a hat trick, while Conley Swanson and Jaxson Newell added one goal each before halftime, giving Bradford a commanding 7-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, Declan Dragoone and Trey Jackson each found the back of the net, stretching the lead to 9-0 before Northlake managed to score three late goals, making the final score 9-3.
The team shared the ball well throughout the match, with assists recorded by Johnson (2), Mitchell Bach, Feely, Jackson, Liam Allen, and Cameron Butler.
Defensively, it was a full team effort in goal. Cameron Butler started in net and was followed by Feely, Blake Nelson, Fitzpatrick, Mason Poling, and Jackson—each contributing at least one save, combining for seven total stops.
This victory marks the conclusion of the team’s STTSL season, as the boys now set their sights on their upcoming tournament in Rochester at the end of July. Many players will also be transitioning to middle school soccer in the fall.
The team’s coaches shared the following,
“This was a tremendous team, and it was an honor to coach them. Watching their growth—both as individuals and as a team—since we started in March has been incredibly rewarding. Their unselfish play and team-first attitude made this group special. I’m proud of each and every one of them and excited for what lies ahead in their soccer journeys.”
