Clermont Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire at 8:40 a.m. Sunday on Red Mill Road in Sergeant Township. Additional crews were dispatched from Smethport, Norwich Township, Hamlin Township, Port Allegany and Mount Jewett, along with Kane’s aerial tower. Emporium Volunteer Fire Department , Johnsonburg Volunteer Fire Department and Mount Jewett ambulance were also on the scene. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Firefighters were on the scene for five hours. The house was destroyed.
