Ava Sheriff, 9, of Florida competed at the AAU National Gymnastics meet Thursday, taking home first in bars and third in the All Around with four medals. For third in the All Around, Sheriff earned scores of 9.825 in uneven bars (1st), 9.750 in beam (3rd) and 9.5 on Floor (4th). She also earned a 9.225 in vault for a total of 38.300. Sheriff also qualified for the 2025 AAU Junior Olympic Games, which will take place in Houston, Texas in late July. She is the daughter of Erica (Pascarella) and Victor Sheriff of Fla. and the granddaughter of Mark and Amy Pascarella, who live in Bradford.
