Port Allegany’s Heart and Soul will host an Ice Cream Social for an opportunity to cool down and connect. This sweet summer gathering will be held Sunday at the hogan by the Port Allegany Community Pool. A second event will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Eddie’s on Main. Enjoy a scoop (or two) of vanilla or chocolate ice cream and then dive into the toppings bar.  “These events aren’t just about sweet treats — it’s about building community through education,” organizers said. “Those gathered will be sharing thoughts, listening to voices and celebrating the role education plays in shaping the heart of Port Allegany.
