ST. MARYS — Police report a Dagus Mines woman died Saturday as the result of a two-vehicle crash on South St. Marys Street.

At approximately 4:45 p.m. near the intersection of Haller Road, a 2017 Ford driven by Jade Sanchez pulled out of the McDonald’s parking lot into the path of a 2016 Jeep headed northbound, driven by Cody Burnie of Ridgway in the inside lane.

The front of Burnie’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of Sanchez’s vehicle, disabling both. While Burnie was uninjured, Sanchez suffered a fatal injury in the collision.

St. Marys Police, whose investigation is ongoing, were assisted on scene by St. Marys Ambulance Service, Crystal Fire Department, Elk County coroner and Pennsylvania State Police.
