CLEARFIELD — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that its Potter County Maintenance Organization will close Genesee Mills Road (Route 1010) on Monday for a one-day pipe replacement project.

Replacing the 48-inch pipe located approximately three-tenths of a mile east of the intersection with Whitman Road in Harrison Township, will prevent uncontrolled water flow from damaging the pavement and extend the service life of the road.

While the road is closed, traffic will follow a detour using Route 49, Jackson Road (Route 1012), Collins Hill Road (Route 1015), and Bingham Center Road (Route 1013) back to Genesee Mills Road. In the event of rain, PennDOT will complete the work Tuesday. Department personnel will complete all work.
