Free programs at Sizerville Saturday
EMPORIUM — Sizerville State Park will offer free environmental education programs Saturday.
Skins and Skulls is first up at 3 p.m. at the Environmental Learning Center. Participants of all ages will look at various skulls and furs of birds and animals common to the PA Wilds.
Nature Sounds Bingo is slated for 8 p.m. at the campground amphitheater. Coyotes howl into the night, a black-capped chickadee sounds like it is saying “cheeseburger,” and beavers sound like a baby crying. Listen and learn about some common sounds and calls animals make all around us with a short talk followed by a bingo game to test your memory.
