Commissioners spell out liquid fuel shares
The McKean County Commissioners at Tuesday’s meeting spelled out this year’s liquid fuels allocations for municipalities.
The bi-annual share of $107,567.99 was divided out as follows, along with a $2,342 administrative fee from the county: Bradford City, $13,906.62; Bradford Township, $10,007.74; Foster Township, $9,430.74; Keating Township, $8,412.55; Liberty Township, $7,823.43; Kane Borough, $6,597.48; Eldred Township, $5,644.99; Wetmore Township, $5,308.09; and Annin Township, $5,137.16. The remaining municipalities had shares less than $5,000 each.
Municipalities are allocated funding based on a formula that takes into account population and miles of qualifying roads.
Also at the meeting, commissioners approved grant agreements for Connect McKean: Digital Connectivity Technology program to 15 agencies, mostly aimed at veterans and the senior population — senior centers in Bradford, Kane, Port Allegany, Smethport and Eldred; public libraries in Bradford, Mount Jewett and Smethport; McKean County Veterans Services; and assisted living facilities in the county.
Under the human resources portion of the agenda, the commissioners indicated finance director Macie Delahoy left her position as of June 4.
A matter under old business, an I.T. policy regarding screen lock-out, was tabled.
The next meeting will be held at 10 a.m. June 24.
