Rosemary Hannold
Rosemary E. Hannold, 84, of Gifford passed away Saturday (June 7, 2025) at Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital.
Born May 5, 1941, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Ruth (Hansen) Rinfrette. She was a graduate of Bradford High School.
On June 4, 1960, in Gifford, she married James E. Hannold, who passed away April 30, 2023.
Rosemary was employed at Zippo Manufacturing for more than 35 years.
She was a founding member of the Zippo Credit Union, which later merged into the Bradford Federal Credit Union, and she served on that board for many years.
Rose and Jim enjoyed hosting get-togethers at the cottage in Chautauqua, N.Y., and at camp in Westline for family and friends.
She is survived by three sisters-in-law, Esther Rinfrette and Leanore “Sis” Rinfrette, both of Bradford, and JoAnn Francis of London, Tenn.; one brother-in-law, Edward Young of Fort Branch, Ind.; many special nieces and nephews, Dick (Tina) Linane, Max (Melissa) Linane, Melissa (Mike) Bennett, Dave (Molly) Rinfrette, Tim (Pam) Rinfrette, Jim (Pam) Rinfrette, Barb (Kevin) Olinger, Penny (Fred) Cook, Terrie Grady, Kim Hannold, Linda (John) Garza, Diane (Jack) Jurassic, Debbie Kolarik, Robyn (Pat) Boser, Sally (Mark) Stormer, Rhonda Kleiderline, Debbie (Doug) Nelson, Brenda (Mike) Alviti, Heather (Chris) Wehmer, Shawn (Stephanie) Young, Brian (Wendy) Hannold, Steve Francis, Jim (Connie) Irons, Bob (Vickie) Rinfrette, Scott (Cindy) Rinfrette and Rick (Phyllis) Rinfrette; and several great-nieces and -nephews and several great-great-nieces and -nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry “Juggy” Rinfrette, James “Jumbo” Rinfrette and Richard “Dick” Rinfrette; five sisters, Marge Curcio, Barbara Irons Rupert, LaRita “Grunt” Linane, Joan Osborne and Gladys Rinfrette; two brothers-in-law, Carl “Glenn” Hannold and Dick Osborne; one sister-in-law, Susan Young; and two nephews, Jerry “Tireman” Irons and Sheldon “Bud” Osborne.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday (June 12, 2025) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral services will follow with the Rev Max Simms, pastor of Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
