EMPORIUM — Today is National Trails Day, and a trail talk will be held at 3 p.m. today at Sizerville State Park Environmental Learning Center.

The short talk will be followed by a short hike on one of the trails. Feel free to bring a bottle of water and hiking shoes are encouraged.

At 8 p.m., at the campground amphitheater, Wings of the Night will be presented.Did you know that bats are pollinators? How about that bats are pest control specialists? Come to this program to learn all about bats and what these critters do for us every day. Short talk followed by a movie — feel free to bring snacks and a blanket!

To register for a program, go to the DCNR Calendar of Events website, search Sizerville State Park, find the program listed, and click on the Register button right under the program date, time, and location.
