Antonio Bevacqua
Antonio F. Bevacqua, 81, of Bradford passed away Thursday (June 5, 2025) at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Motta Santa Lucia, Italy, a son of the late Luigino and Irene Chirillo Bevacqua.
He was the manager of the former Togi’s Old Barn prior to owning and operating the former Oliver’s Restaurant at the Bradford Mall from 1987 to 1989. He then managed the former Silver Rail Restaurant, St. Marys, and the Red Garter Playhouse, Salamanca, N.Y. He also worked for the Bradford Area School District as a bus driver and at Docksiders Restaurant as a cook.
He is survived by one son, Anthony (Megan) Bevacqua of Bradford; one daughter, Teri Anne French of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one brother, Frank (Debi) Bevacqua of Naples, Fla; one sister, Maria Theresa Bevacqua of New York City; three grandchildren, Richie (Joyelle) French and Brayden (Desaree) French, both of Broken Arrow, and Natalie Shields of Bradford; two great-grandchildren, Aviah and Carter French; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday (June 11, 2025) at St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Walk, senior associate pastor, as celebrant.
Entombment will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum.
