Bradford United U12 Boys defeat two, end one game in draw

Bradford United U 12 Boys played three games in the last week, taking home two wins and leaving one game as a draw with their opponent.

    Game 1

Bradford United U12 Boys Battle to 3-3 Draw with Kinzua in STTSL Rematch

In a rematch of last weekend’s thriller, the top two teams in the Southern Tier Travel Soccer League (STTSL) clashed again as Bradford United U12 boys faced off against Kinzua. The match lived up to its billing, ending in a dramatic 3-3 tie that keeps Bradford United atop the league standings with three games remaining.

Bradford came out with intensity and dominated the first half, controlling possession and creating multiple scoring chances. Mason Poling opened the scoring, capitalizing on a rebound after the Kinzua goalkeeper couldn’t handle the initial shot, making it 1-0. Declan Dragoone doubled the lead with a composed finish from the penalty spot, sending Bradford into halftime with a strong 2-0 advantage.

Kinzua responded with urgency after the break, scoring three unanswered goals to take a 3-2 lead. But with about six minutes left in the game, Bradford showed impressive resilience. Chael Johnson netted the equalizer off an assist from Landon Fitzpatrick, leveling the score at 3-3.

Goalkeeper Cameron Butler made four saves in the first half to help preserve the early lead, while Ryan Feely contributed three saves in the second half. Bradford registered 10 shots on goal in a well-fought match.

“Another hard-fought battle and the boys showed tremendous resiliency,” the Bradford coaching staff noted. “We’ve been in situations before where the team gets behind and can’t recover, but today was different. They took it to heart, kept fighting, and earned that tie. Kinzua had us on the ropes, but the boys dug deep.”

The draw means Bradford United remains in first place in the STTSL standings, narrowly ahead of Kinzua, with just three matches left in the regular season.

    Game 2

Bradford United U12 Boys Power Past Northlake with 7-3 Victory

Bradford United U12 boys delivered a commanding 7-3 win over Northlake Tuesday evening at Gleason Field in a game that showcased balanced scoring and strong teamwork. With six different players finding the back of the net, it was a true all-around effort from the squad.

Liam Allen led the charge with a pair of goals and two assists, while Declan Dragoone, Mitchell Bach, Landon Fitzpatrick, Mason Poling, and Chael Johnson each added a goal to the tally. Assists came from Allen (2), Johnson, Conley Swanson, and Fitzpatrick. Goalkeeper Caiden Englert even got in on the action, launching a booming punt that soared over the defense and set up a goal, earning him a rare assist from the net.

Defensively, Blake Nelson made four key saves in the first half to help keep Northlake in check. In the second half, Ryan Feely and Caiden Englert each contributed a save while splitting time between the posts.

“Another solid all-around effort from the boys tonight,” said the coaching staff. “It’s great to see so many different players getting involved in the scoring and supporting each other on both ends of the field.”

With the win, Bradford United keeps momentum rolling as they hit the road Wednesday for a 6:30 p.m. matchup in Portville.

    Game 3

Bradford United U12 Boys Roll Past Portville 7-1

Bradford United U12 boys continued their winning streak Tuesday night with a dominant 7-1 victory over Portville on the road. After a close first half, the boys exploded offensively in the second to seal the win.

Trey Jackson led the charge with a standout performance, netting two goals and adding an assist. Additional goals came from Chael Johnson, Declan Dragoone, Mason Poling, and Conley Swanson, and Mitchell Bach each contributing to the scoring parade. Johnson also tallied two assists, while Landon Fitzpatrick, Brecken Placer, Cameron Butler, Blake Nelson, Liam Allen, and Jaxson Newell each recorded one assist—showcasing the team’s depth and unselfish play.
