    Little League Wrap: Eldred 2, Cubs record wins

    ELDRED 2 8, MAJORS BRADFORD PIRATES 1 Edlred used a four-run first inning and a threerun fifth to lock down an 8-1 victory Wednesday.

    On the mound for Eldred 2 were M Splain and K Pantuso, who combined on a no-hitter, striking out 12.

    Leading Eldred 2 at the plate were Splain with a double, B Lupton with two RBIs and Birch with three RBIs.

    Jameis Furlong and Andrew Wright Jr shared the mound for the Pirates, combining to strike out six while giving up six hits.

    OILERS DEFEAT INDIANS ARG Oilers beat KOA Speer Indians 12-4 Wednesday.

    Leading the Oilers at the plate were Carter McAndrew (3-for-4 with a double); Jaxson Harvey (2-for-3 with three runs scored); Landon Brooks (2-for-3 with an inside the park HR); Yazhier Kervin (3-for-4 with a run scored and a 2-run single); Gehrig LaBella (2-for-3 with a run scored); Oxton Hammack (2-for-3 with a run scored) and Jake Soyke (3-for-3 with an RBI, triple and three runs scored).

    Keying the Indians were Wyatt Sudbrook, who was 2-for-3 with a double; Brecken Placer, who went 2-for-3; and Cole Bennett, who was 3-for-3 with a double.

    CUBS SWEEP DOUBLEHEADER WITH OILERS In game one of a doubleheader, Sherk’s Landscaping Cubs defeated ARG Oilers 11-2 in Bradford Regional Player Pitch Baseball on Tuesday. For the Cubs, Gary Reid went 2-for-3 with an RBI; Blake Sherk had two RBIs; Dre Skaggs was 2-for-2 with an RBI; Jeremiah Seastrunk belted a double and had two RBIs; Oliver Cokely had a single and an RBI; Gage Peranio had a single and an RBI; Ryan Angell went 2-for-2; Gideon Corah had a single and an RBI and Bret Butler had a single and an RBI.

    For the Oilers, Carter McAndrew had a double and two RBIs and Landon Brooks tripled.

    In Game 2, the Cubs outscored the Oilers 12-3.

    For the Cubs, Nick Popiel had a triple, Sherk smashed a home run and had two RBIs; Dre Skaggs went 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBIs; Gage Peranio had a triple and an RBI; Vincent Rajakumar went 2-for-2 with an RBI; Ryan Angell went 2-for-2 with an RBI and Bret Butler had two RBIs.

    For the Oilers, Oxton Hammock went 2-for-2; Jake Soyke had an RBI and Landon Brooks added an RBI.

    BRAVES OUTSCORE CUBS YeagerMeister Disposal Braves defeated the Sherk’s Landscaping Cubs, 11-5 recently.

    For the Braves, Bryce Crappio hit a two-run homerun; Evan Luna went 2-for-3 with two singles; Gage Brinsky went 3-for-3 with two triples and a double; Jack Cannon went 2-for-3 with a triple and a single; Landon Lowe went 2-for-3 with two singles; and Max Cannon, Asa Johnson, and Colten Arnett all recorded hits.

    For the Cubs, Buck Reid went 3-for-3 with three singles.
