EMPORIUM — Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library is calling all artists, doodlers and creative spirits ages 12 and older to take part in a one-of-a-kind community art project happening throughout June. From June 1 through June 30, the library is hosting a Community Puzzle Art Project — a hands-on, all-ages event where participants can help create a giant puzzle masterpiece that highlights the creativity and connection of the local community.

Stop by the library to pick up a blank puzzle piece. Take it home and decorate it using any art supplies or medium you like — paint, glitter, fabric, markers, collage and more.

The only rule is to make sure the original puzzle shape is intact so your piece can fit into the final display.

Return your finished piece to the library by June 30, and it will be added to a large collaborative puzzle that will be showcased in a special community art display.

“There’s no wrong way to decorate your piece,” library representatives said. “This is a chance for everyone to get creative and be part of something that brings the whole community together — one puzzle piece at a time.”
