Nurse practitioner joins primary care office in Olean
OLEAN, N.Y. — Olean General Hospital (OGH), a Kaleida Health facility, welcomed Kelly Blackmon, doctor of nursing practice, to its primary care practice in Olean.
Blackmon joins the team alongside Evelyn Ouellette, also a DNP, enhancing access to high-quality primary care for the community.
A native of Shinglehouse, Pa., Blackmon brings more than 20 years of experience in managing acute, chronic and complex medical conditions. Her areas of expertise include addressing high blood pressure, high cholesterol, COPD, GERD, irritable bowel syndrome, peripheral artery disease and diabetes. In addition, she holds specialized certification in wound care, providing treatment for both acute and chronic wounds with a focus on advanced wound healing techniques.
Blackmon earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., a Master of Science in advanced nursing practice from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Mansfield (Pa.) University. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a certified wound care specialist through the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy.
