Moses, Neely named Port Allegany Athletes of the Year

Ella Moses and Carson Neely were named Athletes of the Year at Port Allegany High School during the annual Awards Assembly held at the school last week.
Moses received the David Lacher Memorial Award/Female Athlete of the Year. She participated in volleyball for four years, lettering all four years and was named an Northern Tier League All-Star three years in a row in grades 10, 11 and 12.
As a member of the Lady Gator basketball team for four years, Moses joined the 1,000 point club during her senior year, was named an NTL All-Star for three years and NTL MVP for two consecutive years, was named a Big 30 All-Star for three years and was named the Big 30 Player of the Year in 2025. She was also selected as a District IX All-Star. Moses has signed her commitment to the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford Women’s Basketball team. She will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Moses is the daughter of Chad and Jennifer Moses.
Neely received the Thomas Taylor Memorial Award/Male Athlete of the Year. Carson is the son of Craig and Carra Neely. He has been a wrestler for four years and during that time placed fourth, fifth and eighth in the state of Pennsylvania. He was named a Big 30 All-Star two times for wrestling and the AML Wrestler of the Year. Neely has served as captain for three years. In football, Neely lettered four times, was a captain for two years, was named a YDL line of the year two times and is a two-time All-State Offensive lineman, two-time region lineman of the year and two-time Big 30 lineman of the year. He will attend Clarion University to further his education and wrestling career.
