TOPS 16
The weekly meeting of TOPS 16 was held on May 28. Members recited the TOPS pledge. Members sang “Zippy those pounds off.” Co-leader Jeanne Lowe and assistant weight recorder Barb Smead weighed 14 members; 2 members were excused. The best loser in waiting is Jenny Young.
The fruit to try is plums, the veggie is green onions, food to avoid is chips & pretzels, the nickelodeon was potatoes. Jennie Young won the food chart.
Jeanne Lowe gave the secretary’s report. A smile was read by Jessie Skillman, joke by Jeanne Lowe and Dee Rhodes. Elaine Harris gave an inspiration. Chris McCracken gave a household hint.
Members did band stretches for exercise. Members were reminded to write notes of encouragement to each other.
Elaine Harris will have the program on June 4. The election of officers will be held on June 11.
Jeanne Lowe issued a challenge for best loser next week.
Members read articles from the TOPS magazine and discussed the articles.
The meeting was closed with the friendship circle and members reciting the TOPS prayer.
TOPS Club meets every Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall at the First Presbyterian Church. Weigh-ins start at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting starts at 1 p.m. All are welcome.
