Summer Nights in the Square return June 10
The Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center (BCPAC) is gearing up for another great experience this year with Summer Nights in the Square.
The events will feature a host of live music, food trucks, artisan vendors and free art activities for the kids.
‘Summer Nights in the Square returns with three fun-filled evenings for the entire family right here in the heart of our little city after such an incredible response to last year’s events,” said Darren Litz, executive director and organizer for the event.
The summer events will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. each evening in Veterans Square in downtown Bradford, rain or shine.
BCPAC will close off Marilyn Horne Way for a variety of food trucks and vendors, and the music entertainment will be held in the gazebo on the square. People wanting to enjoy the music for the evening should bring a chair to sit in.
Featured entertainment and activities will include a Kickoff to Summer theme June 10 with music from Lisa Auteri and Siren’s Echo and balloon artist, George Sweat with Fun That Pops; a patriotic celebration July 1 with music from Jim Ronan and the Twin Tiers Community Band with balloon artist, George Sweat and Fun That Pops; and the final event July 29 will be a Cruise In Night theme with music from Western Range from the central Pennsylvania region with their Texas swing, honky tonk and vintage rock music, along with kids tattoos and balloon art from Paul Chudy. The final event will also feature several antique cars courtesy of Gary Hoy and the Street Dreams Car Club. Each night will have a variety of artisan vendors displaying their artwork, a 50/50 raffle to benefit BCPAC, and food from different vendors, including Camper’s Kettle Corn and Lemonade, Pizza Napoli, The Wafull Wagon, Foster Brook Creamery, Raught’s Roadside Kitchen, Papa Scoops, Father’s Apothecary Drinks and The Hungry Burro.
BCPAC and Pitt-Bradford Arts will have kids’ art activities, and Leadership McKean will host the SPARK Arts Tent with their hand painted backdrop to capture a summer photo moment.
There are still openings for artisan vendors who wish to participate in any of the nights and those interested will need to register at the BCPAC office either by calling (814) 362-2522 or registering online at bcpac. com.
Presenting sponsors for the Summer Nights in the Square events are the Blaisdell Foundation, Northwest Bank, UPMC and Hamlin Bank.
