National Fuel employees volunteer for Days of Doing
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – This week, more than 700 National Fuel employees logged over 2,300 hours of volunteer service across the company’s New York and Pennsylvania service territory providing spring clean-up, beautification and building efforts during Days of Doing (DOD), an annual three-day companywide event.
From 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, National Fuel executives and employees volunteered at 58 service projects across 40 different locations, enhancing and beautifying the environment all in time for Memorial Day Weekend.
“Again this year, National Fuel employees will come together and make a meaningful impact by volunteering in the areas where we live and work,” said David P. Bauer, president and chief executive officer of National Fuel Gas Co. “Every year, host sites are pleasantly surprised by all that is accomplished so quickly and efficiently, as National Fuel volunteers work hard and get the job done. I am excited to see the significant impact we will make within our communities this week.”
Among many other activities, volunteers helped Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, N.Y., with clean-up efforts to maintain the cemetery’s serene environment, enhanced the Wellsville area with various clean-up projects, including Genesee River, Main Street and local monuments, assisted the Northwest Pennsylvania Chapter of Trout Unlimited and the PSU Master Watershed Stewards remove litter from Cascade Creek in Erie, and painted and conducted maintenance at the Allegheny Valley Veterans Center in Clarendon.
