Gibbs appears to earn nods for Bradford Twp. supervisor
Unofficial results from the McKean County Board of Elections say Dennis Gibbs has secured both parties’ nods for the November ballot for Bradford Township supervisor.
Gibbs received 98 write-in votes on the Republican side, while he had 26 votes for the Democratic ballot. Barring a write-in effort in November, he will be unopposed for the supervisor seat currently held by Mark Cline, who did not seek re-election.
For Lewis Run mayor, Julie Myers received 18 write-in votes for the Republican ballot, enough to secure a spot in the general election.
For four seats on the Port Allegany School Board, there were three candidates on the Republican ballot — Alex Johnson, Erica Babcock and Nate Burgett — and one write-in candidate, Barbara Delacour, earned 146 votes to be on the ballot.
On the Democratic ballot, Alex Johnson was the lone candidate. Delacour received 26 write-in votes, and Sean Lathrop received 11 to be on the ballot as well.
For Otto-Eldred School Board, Region I, Jolene Schuessler earned 40 write-in votes for the Republican ballot. There is no Democratic candidate.
In Region II, where two seats were up, Jeannine Gray received 27 votes, but no write-ins secured enough to join her on the Democratic ballot. On the Republican side, no candidates were on the ballot for the primary, but Robert Delong earned 12 write-in votes to gain a spot on the ballot for November. In Region III, Lance Baker received 12 write-in votes to capture a spot on the Democratic ballot, and 24 for the Republican ballot.
For Smethport Area School Board, on the Republican ballot for Region II, Kelly O. Davis earned 14 votes, enough to secure a spot in the general election.
For Kane Area School District, Linda A. Anderson received 59 write-in votes to appear on the Democratic ballot and 41 votes for the Republican ballot, where she joins Amber Hancharick, Meredith Fadenholz and Fred John Lorenzo IV. Hancharik had been the only candidate on the Democratic ballot.
For Kane Borough Council, Debra Miller received 54 Democratic write-in votes, and Robin Imbrogno, 13, both to appear on the ballot in the fall. On the Republican side, Imbrogno earned 39 write-in votes and Miller 38, both successful for the ballot in the general election.
There were not enough write-in votes for Annin Township to have elected a supervisor.
In Eldred Borough, there were two council seats up in the primary. Ernie Perry was on the Republican ballot, and Dan Plummer received 31 write-in votes to snag the second spot on the ballot in November.
For Mount Jewett Borough Council, no candidate received enough votes for the Democratic ballot.
For Port Allegany Borough Council, Keith Delacour was the highest vote-getter of the four write-ins to get a spot on the Republican ballot for the general election.
