Employers invited to shape future workforce
KERSEY — Workforce Solutions for North Central PA is calling on local employers to help shape the future workforce by participating in a new initiative, Business Education Connect.
This program aims to connect businesses with schools across the region to support meaningful career exploration experiences for students.
Employers can get involved in a wide range of activities such as guest speaking, job shadowing, workplace tours, classroom presentations, career fairs, mock interviews and other hands-on opportunities that introduce students to career possibilities in our communities.
The information collected from participating businesses will be featured in an upcoming online career exploration tool designed to showcase employers throughout Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Jefferson, McKean and Potter counties. This digital resource, funded in whole or in part by federal funds, will give students, educators and families an inside look at companies across the region and the career paths they offer.
Businesses interested in being part of Business Education Connect or learning more about the new career exploration tool are encouraged to contact Workforce Solutions directly at (814) 245-1835 or info@ncwdb.org.
“Together, we can help students discover the incredible opportunities that exist right here in North Central Pennsylvania,” organizers said in a press release.
