Founding Friends of Hanley Library
Founding members of the Friends of Hanley Library were honored at the group’s annual meeting May 9 at Hanley Library at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Those pictured are, from left, awardees Mary Ann Crissman, Dr. K. James Evans, Dr. Lisa Fiorentino and Madeline Miles with Friends president Jeff Bosworth. Not pictured were Marcia Abbott and Jacqueline Jones. Rosanne Conaway and Dr. Anita Herbert were recognized posthumously. The Friends of Hanley Library were established in 1990 to encourage and strengthen relations between the library and the Bradford community. Each fall and spring, the Friends sponsor education or cultural programs for the community. In October, the Friends hold a popular annual used book sale in conjunction with Alumni and Family Weekend.
