Robert Stebbins
PORT ALLEGANY — Robert A. “Rob” Stebbins, 60, of Eldred passed away Thursday (May 15, 2025) at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, N.Y.
He was born Sept. 15, 1964, in Olean, N.Y., a son of Franklin Stebbins Jr. and Janet (Raszman) Stohr.
He attended Otto-Eldred schools and was a 1982 graduate of Port Allegany High School.
Rob worked at several jobs over the years. He was employed at Zippo in Bradford for a period of time, Otto-Eldred school district as a custodian, but ultimately worked as a meat processor for several local grocery stores. He worked for Costa’s Supermarket, Market Basket and, most recently, Shop-N-Save of Port Allegany.
He had been a track coach for Otto-Eldred High School and was a member of Port Allegany Moose Lodge 460. He is survived by one son, Joshua (Danielle) Stebbins of Eldred; two grandchildren, Kameca and Brice Stebbins of Eldred; two brothers, Joseph Swatt III of Las Vegas and Roger Stebbins of Nunica, Mich.; one sister, Cindy Stebbins of Tampa, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rob was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Randy Stebbins.
Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Monday (May 19, 2025) at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., 105 Main St., where funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. James Cannistraci officiating. Burial will be in the Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
