St. Marys sweeps Bradford Monday
BASEBALL ST. MARYS 13, BRADFORD 4 St. Marys went into the seventh inning leading 8-3 and added five runs to ensure Bradford’s defeat. The Owls added a single run in the bottom of the seventh, but couldn’t get the momentum needed to rally for the victory.
Leading St. Marys at the plate were Mason Nicklas with a double and five RBIs and Ben Paul with a double.
Ben Paul earned the mound win, striking out seven and walking three while surrendering five hits.
For Bradford, Anthony Lama and Evan Whitmore each collected two hits.
On the mound for Bradford was Brody Haviland, who struck out six and walked four while giving up six hits.
SOFTBALL ST. MARYS 14, BRADFORD 0 ST. MARYS — St. Marys used an 11-run fourth inning to overcome Bradford 14-0 Monday.
Leading St. Marys at the plate were Avery Eckels with a double, Molly Hanslovan with three hits in three at bats, Kelsie Fledderman who had a home run.
Eckels also earned the mound win, striking out 10 and walking one while giving up one hit.
On the mound for Bradford was Bella Zandy, who struck out one and walked one while giving up 13 hits.
Leading Bradford at the plate was Jackie Sipko, who went 1-for-1.
The Lady Owls are back in action today, hosting Brookville.
