Act now for WPSU
Public Broadcasting is on the chopping block. Current proposals in Congress would eliminate funding entirely.
If you care about programs and information carried over WPSU radio and television, please call or email Sens. John Fetterman and Dave McCormack and Congressman Glenn Thompson.
Public Broadcasting is a unique resource. It cannot be replaced by commercial stations whose programming is driven by profit to them rather than service to you.
As a former chair of the WPSU Advisory Board, I learned how important WPSU radio and television has been to our rural communities. It broadcasts information in times of weather disasters, has provided comforting programming for children during the traumas of 9/11 and COVID, offers educational opportunities for children and adults alike, and every day provides fact-based local, state and national news.
The time to act is now. Let your legislators know you appreciate Public Broadcasting and oppose the idea of cutting its federal funding. Please act before it is too late.
