Members discussed and made final plans for the two events they will sponsor.
On July 3, 2025, the chapter will hold a memorial service to honor all the Revolutionary War soldiers buried in Potter County. They will also place a marker for Roger Edgecomb, which had never been done.
The event will be held at Lymansville Cemetery in Ladona starting at 10 a.m. On July 3, 2026, the chapter will hold a rededication of the David Zeisberger monument on the Courthouse square starting at 11 a.m.
Also in attendance at this meeting was David Castano from the Potter County Historical Society. David gave a brief report of other activities proposed by the society.
All events are in the works and will happen in the fall of 2025 or the spring of 2026. Dates and times will be announced later.
Proposed are: Bells Across America Project, Liberty Tree Planting, Young Heroes Outreach Program and Road To PA 2026.
The next meeting will be held at noon May 14 at the Historical Society.
At this time members will assemble wreaths to be placed May 17 at the site of Revolutionary War soldiers buried in Potter County.
