David Leonard
David E. Leonard, 83, of 75 Chelsea Lane, passed away Thursday (May 8, 2025) surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 18, 1941, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Gerald E and Helen (Wigler) Leonard.
He was a 1961 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
On Oct. 5, 1962, in Bradford, he married Nancy L. (Dallenbach) Leonard, who survives.
He owned and operated David Leonard Water Well Drilling. While running his business he also worked at Dresser Manufacturing as a master tool and die maker for 34 years and later at Zippo in the machine shop for 13 years.
Dave was a lifelong boat owner and spent countless hours on Kinzua Dam with family and friends. He enjoyed restoring old cars and boats, including his antique Chris-Craft. He loved to build things, was a master of all trades, including building his own homes.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Nancy, of 62 years, are three daughters, Molly (Dave) Rinfrette, Lisa (Jay) Pecora and his pride and joy, Beth Leonard, and one son, Daniel Leonard, all of Bradford; seven grandchildren, Daniel (Samantha) Rinfrette, Ali (Justin) Fishkin, Michael (Kendall) Rinfrette, Evan Pecora, Erin (Lucas) Hartman, Jack Pecora and David Leonard; six great-grandchildren, Elsie Rinfrette, Elliott Rinfrette, Reid Fishkin, Tommy Rinfrette, Charlie Rinfrette and Jordy Rinfrette; and six nieces, Kim Jordan, Michele Kramer, Sherry Kasten, Melanie Reid, Robin Findley and Lori Oleniacz.
Family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday (May 10, 2025) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral services will be held at 1 o’clock with the Rev.
Jay Tennies, pastor of Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating.
