PUNXSUTAWNEY — Punxsutawney outscored Bradford 104-44 in high school girls’ track and field action Tuesday.

“It was a good meet with a tough Lady Chucks team. We really went at it and had many good performances. Miley Swanson won the 800, Madison Vinelli and Addison Benson had their best 1600 races of the season and went 1-2 in the race and the 3200 relay team had their best time of the year. Anna Benedict had three hard races and improved her 400 time by 2 seconds to 1:06,” said Bradford girls coach Larry Stillman. “Emma Pilon had best ever high jump, 5-1, and won a thrilling jump off with Samantha Greibel of Punxsutawney. Aliya Corignani had her best-ever triple jump of 33’5.5” by over a foot and Alyssa Mangold went over 16 feet in the long jump for the sixth time this season. Our throwers as a group improved.

“We have nine days to work hard and improve to get ready for the district nine meet at Brookville on May 16th.”
