JCC introduces Good Neighbors
OLEAN, N.Y. – SUNY Jamestown Community College recently introduced a scholarship that will make a JCC education more affordable for Pennsylvania students.
The Good Neighbors Scholarship is available to residents in McKean, Warren and Erie counties in Pennsylvania, and covers half the cost of out-ofstate tuition to JCC. That means eligible full- or parttime students can attend JCC for the in-state rate.
To qualify for the scholarship, students must be newly enrolled for the 2025-26 academic year while having completed the JCC admissions application and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). They must also demonstrate residency in Erie, McKean or Warren counties and meet federal satisfactory academic progress requirements.
Students living in the residence halls on the Jamestown Campus are not eligible. However, campus residents can apply for JCC’s residence halls out-of-state tuition grant that covers half the cost of tuition.
Scholarship recipients may also qualify for the USA Scholarship, which is awarded to first-time, fulltime freshmen applicants ranked in the top 20% of their graduating high school class. Pennsylvania students must reside in Cameron, Elk, Forest, McKean or Warren counties, or the cities of Corry or North East to be eligible.
The Good Neighbors Scholarship is a trial program funded by the JCC Foundation. It is currently available for the 2025-26 academic year only.
