Bradford United Teams compete at Kick-It First Tournament
The Bradford United Soccer U10 Girls — McGinnis team took to the Akron NY Soccer League Kick-It First Tournament this past weekend, and through the rain and muddy conditions, they had some standout performances going 2-0 across two games! Game 1 was a clutch performance against a tough Clarence Inferno team, which saw Kennedy McGinnis lead the way with a hat-trick of goals, with Aizlynn Dynda and Emma Mathis getting on the scoreboard, too! Assists were provided by Aizlynn Dynda (2) and Elaina Lamberson (2). Izzy Vinelli, Emma Doriguzzi, and Elaina Lamberson led a stout defense that prevented the other team from getting much going. A HUGE SHOUT-OUT performance in goal by newcomer Ellie Bush as she played her first ever game in goalie and had 8 big saves!
Game 2 was another muddy, rainy contest which saw the ball in the back of the net 9 times in a 9-1 win! Kennedy McGinnis again led the way with 4 goals, with Aizlynn Dynda right behind her with 3 more of her own, and Emma Mathias scoring 2 more! The scoring chances were assisted by Emma Mathias with two assists, Kennedy McGinnis with one, and Emma Doriguzzi with one! Again Izzy Vinelli, Elaina Lamberson and Emma Doriguzzi provided strong defense, and Andra Ackley & Hadley Alexander were able to create a few turnovers during the game and cause havoc on the wing! Ellie Bush AGAIN put on another standout performance in goal with 5 saves before letting Emma Doriguzzi close the game out with 5 more saves of her own.
BRADFORD UNITED TEAM 2 COMPETES IN RAIN AND MUD The Bradford United Soccer U10 Girls — Doriguzzi team took to the Akron NY Soccer League Kick-It First Tournament this past weekend, and through the rain and mud, we had some standout performances while going 0-1-1 in Tournament play!
Game 1 was a hardfought loss against a tough Lancaster-Depew team, which saw Deveraux Maraschiello get on the scoreboard with a goal and then moments later had an assist to Aaliyah Stiable for her first goal of the game. Rilynn Priest, Harper Willard and Brynnleigh O’Neil provided a firm defense and were able to hold the other team at bay! Brielle Willard and Deveraux shared goalie duties and put up some impressive save numbers!
Game 2 saw Aaliyah Stiable score a hat-trick of goals, with assists by Emma Butler and Rilynn Priest, while Deveraux and Brielle continued another strong showing between the goalposts! Another defense standout performance saw Josie Yeager, Lainey Johnson and the others again play hard at the back line and keep the game a tie at the end.
