    Francis, Wortman named to Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State boys basketball teams

    The 2024-25 all-state boys basketball teams have been announced, and Otto-Eldred’s Landon Francis and ECC’s Wil Wortman were both recognized. Nominated and voted by media members across the state, three teams are announced for each class.

    Francis was named to the First Team for Class 1A, while Wortman was named to Third Team for 1A. Francis made Third Team for Class 2A for the 2023-24 season.

    Francis was also named Big 30 Player of the Year and named to the Big 30 First Team, was asked to participate in the Big 30 Basketball Senior Classic, is a two-time YCL Sports Network District 9 Player of the Year honoree, and No. 3 on the Top 30 District 9 scorers for District 9 for 2024-25. He averaged 20.5 points per game.

    Francis was one of three 1,000point career scorers for Otto-Eldred this year.

    Wortman is No. 8 in the Top 30 District 9 scorers, averaging 18.7 ppg. Wortman also participated in the Big 30 Basketball Senior Classic, is a two-year running TCW/CE Player of the Year and a 1,000-point scorer for ECC.
