Knights honor scholarship winners
Knights of Columbus Council 403 of Bradford hosted its annual Family Pancake Breakfast and Scholarship Awards Presentation on April 27, recognizing Isabella Rhoades and Owen Manion.
Rhoades is set to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania, while Manion is headed to Clemson University Event Chairperson Josh Kramer and Council Treasurer Bob Geisler, along with many brother Knights, coordinated the meal and celebration of this year’s scholarship awardees.
Held in Father Gallina Social Hall, St. Bernard Church, attendance this year was just more than 100 people.
‘Council 403 congratulates the awardees, with blessings that their faith, hard work and honesty carry them through life with great success,’ members said in a press release.
Proceeds from the annual Family Pancake Breakfast supports the Council Scholarship Committee, headed by John Place. The success of this event assures the council’s future awards to deserving individuals.
‘Looking forward to next year our hopes are for an increase in candidate submissions for this worthy award,’ members said. ‘The Knights thank all who donated time and materials and the many workers contributing to this year’s success.’
