WARREN — Richard L. Clevenger, 60, of Warren passed away at home Saturday (April 26, 2025) after battling cancer for 2 years.
Rich was born Oct. 16, 1964, in Bristol, a son of the late Richard ‘Dick’ L. Clevenger Sr. and Renda Dunkle Nicklas. He was a 1982 graduate of Kane High School and then served in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Whirley for the past 7 years, where he made many friends. Rich was proud of the years he worked as a private contractor in the wilderness areas throughout the U.S. Rich spoke often of the fond memories he spent in Florida working in construction and landscaping for several years.
Rich possessed talents in art and music that few people were aware of. Rich also enjoyed poetry and singing, and had a great sense of humor.
Rich is survived by his sister, Brenda (Wally) Howard from Hazel Hurst; brother, Ben (Kristin) Clevenger of Newton Falls, Ohio; two nieces, Daleen Howard and Georgi Howard and fiancé, Philip Shipe; two nephews, Lincoln and Jefferson Clevenger; and two great-nieces.
At Rich’s request, no services will be held.
