Michael Greeley
Michael T. Greeley, 67, of Bolivar Drive passed away Monday (April 21, 2025) at his residence.
Born June 2, 1957, in Troy, N.Y., he was a son of the late John A. and Dorothy E. (Hand) Greeley. He was a 1975 graduate of Portville (N.Y.) High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
After the service Mike used his training in the military as a cook and baker. He worked at Reid’s Food Barn in Olean for many years.
On Oct.11, 2003, in Allegany, N.Y., he married Lynda L. (Bell) Greeley, who survives.
In his younger years Mike played the guitar with an area band. He loved music, especially The Beatles. He loved to fish, camp and spend time gardening — he had a green thumb and could grow anything. He loved spending time with his family and his dogs, Danny Boy, Lilly and Rascal. Mike was a member of the Eagles Club.
Surviving are his loving wife, Lynda, of 22 years; two sisters, Sue McDonald of Olean, N.Y., and Lori Ford in Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan Greeley and John Greeley.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday (April 28, 2025) at the Eagles Club on East Main Street in Bradford for a celebration of Mike’s life. Members of the U.S. Army will present the American flag and play taps at 2 p.m. at the club.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Wounded Warriors, Disabled American Veterans, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospital.
