Nittany MinitMart supports Angelina’s Song
STATE COLLEGE — After hosting a roundup at checkout program at the end of 2024, Nittany MinitMart has announced a donation of $20,615 to Angelina’s Song, a nonprofit dedicated to providing music therapy to children in hospitals.
Employees and customers came together to raise funds for Angelina’s Song, a Williamsport-based organization founded in honor of Angelina, a young girl whose battle with cancer inspired her family to create an organization that would bring the joy and comfort of music to children across the country.
“While our Angelina was in the hospital, she got a lot of toys and gifts, but what really made her day, every day, and brought her joy was music and sessions with the music therapists,” says Nicole Miele, founder and president of Angelina’s Song.
Nittany MinitMart thanks their employees and customers, who supported the cause by rounding-up when making purchases, for their generosity and kindness. “Small acts of kindness add up to make a big impact,” said Nicole Masullo of Nittany MinitMart. “It makes us so proud to see how much our customers care about giving back. It’s because of them that we were able to make this donation, and we know it will make a huge impact on so many children’s lives.”
This December fundraiser closed out a year of giving for Nittany MinitMart, which gave back to community organizations throughout 2024. Through fundraisers and donations, the company supported volunteer firefighters, local school sports programs and extracurriculars, area animal shelters, disaster relief and many other community-driven programs. Giving back is part of Nittany MinitMart’s mission to be not just a convenience store, but a neighbor to the communities it serves, representatives said.
