Allegheny Mountain League All-Star Teams announced

The 2024-25 AML All-Star teams have been announced for both boys and girls basketball.
The boys’ team includes three players each from ECC, Johnsonburg and DCC and one each from Kane and St. Marys.
ECC’s Wil Wortman, a 6’ senior, and Lance O’Neill, a 5’10” senior, and Sophomore Chase Simbeck (5’8”) made the All-Star team. Wortman hit 1,000 points at the end of January.
Johnsonburg’s Noah Stauffer, Parker Calla and Cade Peterson got the All-Star nod as well.
Kane’s Preston Darr, a 5’11” sophomore, averages 10 points and six rebounds per game.
Rounding out the teams with three players named is DCC, which had Marek Hoyt, Brayden Fox and Luke Fragle named to the All-Star squad. Hoyt is a 6’ senior, Fox a 5’10” senior and Fragle a 6’1” senior.
St. Marys Senior Ben Paul was also named to the 202425 All-Stars. Paul is 5’11” and averages six points and two rebounds per game, according to MaxPreps unofficial stats.
The girls’ team consists of three players from DCC, two each from ECC, Kane and St. Marys and one from Ridgway.
From DCC, seniors Hope Jacob, Marina Hanes and Emma Elensky all received the recognition of making it to the AML All-Star team.
ECC’s Mya Pistner, a senior, and Payton Newton, a junior were named to the team, as were Kane’s Addison Haight,a freshman, and Isabella Saf, a senior; St. Marys’ Molly Hanslovan, a junior, and Taylor Gornati and Ridgway’s Sophia Fullem.
