Bart Barton of Smethport sent us this amazing photograph he took of the SpaceX launch at 8:34 p.m. Wednesday from Pad 39A, Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Fla. The Falcon 9 rocket sent a next-generation Spanish communications satellite “into a geostationary transfer orbit,” according to an article on space.com. The launch, SpaceX’s 13th so far in 2025, will send the satellite to a final position 22,236 miles above Earth.
