Beginning with The Great DuBois, The World’s Most Unique 2-Person Circus Show at 3 p.m. March 22 at Bromeley Family Theatre.
The Great DuBois: Masters of Variety is a fast-paced, high-energy circus show for all ages, showcasing incredible feats of juggling, hula hoops, unicycle, aerial, circus stunts, contortion, magic and audience interaction all wrapped up in a blanket of comedy. Simply put, it is the most unique 2-person circus show you will ever see.
Featured in Hugh Jackman’s hit movie, “The Greatest Showman,” The Great DuBois have amassed an impressive list of credits, including the Tony Award winning “Pippin” on Broadway, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with David Letterman,” Britney Spears World Circus Tour, and the movie “Burlesque,” to highlight just a few.
The award-winning combination of Michael DuBois and Viktoria Grimmy have five generations of circus performing between them and a spectacular theatrical set for proscenium stages, and have performed countless shows at theatres, universities, cruise ships, fairs and festivals all over the world.
“This is a must see for the entire family. Our patrons asked for a matinee time for a more family-friendly experience, so we’ve set the showtime for a 3 p.m. matinee on a Saturday afternoon,” a BCPAC spokesman noted.
At 7 p.m. April 15, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra will be at Bromeley Family Theatre. In Big Band history, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is recognized as one of the best all-around dance bands.
It could swing with the best of them, and no other band could come close when it came to playing ballads. Tommy Dorsey, “The Sentimental Gentleman of Swing,” was a master at creating warm, sentimental and always musical moods — at superb dancing and listening tempos. Dorsey sustained these moods through the arrangements of the likes of Paul Weston, Axel Stordahl and Sy Oliver, and he showcased singers who could project them brilliantly.
The music world lost Dorsey at an early age, but his legacy of great music has transcended time. The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra still represents explosive and swinging Big Band entertainment at its very best.
Opening this summer’s Tribute Series will be Creedence Revived – The World Premiere CCR Tribute Band at 7 p.m. June 19 at Bromeley Family Theatre.
Creedence Revived has rapidly become one of the most highly sought after tribute bands in the world. Playing all over the globe for crowds upwards of 30,000, and with a track record of selling out shows everywhere they go, this group is the real deal, BCPAC officials said.
The group is made up of four of Los Angeles and Chicago’s most talented and eclectic musicians — consisting of an award winning vocalist nicknamed “the chameleon” in the industry for his unique ability to shift his vocals to match the style of any vocalist, a world-renowned blues guitarist who attracts blues fans from around the world, a studio bassist who has a appeared on many top charting albums, and a drummer who sells out theaters on his own based solely on his unique playing style.
Representing America across the globe, Creedence Revived has toured Europe and Malaysia. Talent buyers and event coordinators often boast about their results and the group frequently gets re-hired year after year to return to the same events with fans walking away in awe of the group’s performance.
“We pay tribute. We play the music as if we wrote it. We perform as if we were the original band. CCR is legendary,” said Rich Perez, lead vocalist
Ted Vigil will return to the Bradford stage with his Tribute to John Denver at 7 p.m. July 8.
Vigil, a singer, songwriter and a tribute artist, was born in Seattle and raised in the Olympia area. He has been performing from the age of 10 throughout school in concert, symphonic and jazz bands developing his talents as a drummer and singer.
In 2006 Vigil went on to Laughlin, Nev., to compete in Talent Quest 2006 involving 28 states, New Zealand, Australia and Canada, taking first place. He then went on to win KOMO TV 4’s NW Afternoon Celebrity Look Alike contest in Seattle. Vigil now performs nationwide for all kinds of venues and events. He has wowed the crowd selling out theatres all over, and has played twice now for Denver’s own Windstar Foundation in Aspen, Colo.
Vigil cruised the Caribbean with Darryl Worley and Jimmy Wayne on a Travelin’ Inc. country cruise hosted by Great American Country’s own Storme Warren. Last year Vigil was awarded the Rising Legend Award by the National Traditional Country Music Association. He has also performed with Steve Wiesberg, John Denver’s lead guitar player from the ’70s, who is quoted saying in a King 5 Eve News Magazine clip, “Apparently the audience thinks they all look and sound like John. I don’t see it. I see it with Ted. A very strong physical resemblance … Uncanny!”
The most heard comments after a show are “I can’t believe how much he looks and sounds like John Denver! It really took us back!”
Then E5C4P3 – The Journey Tribute will take to the Bromeley stage for the third and final tribute show of the summer at 7 p.m. Aug. 7.
E5C4P3 was formed in June 1993. From that year through 1999 E5C4P3 traveled nationwide and paid tribute to one of rock history’s most beloved bands performing for tens of thousands of fans. E5C4P3 is still known today as the original and best Journey tribute band to ever exist. In 1999 E5C4P3 went on hiatus and the world was suddenly filled with multiple Journey tributes trying to fill the void that E5C4P3 left behind. In 2008, E5C4P3 was reformed to recreate the magic of a Journey concert like no one else can. The band covers the music with a note-for-note accuracy that is second to none and performs each show with the high-energy excitement of a real Journey concert as well as visually recreating the essence of early ’80s Journey. Focusing on the “Steve Perry era,” E5C4P3 covers all the hits from “Lights” and “Wheel In The Sky” to “Separate Ways” and “Be Good To Yourself,” including occasional surprises for all the die-hard Journey fans who have never stopped believing.
