Tanner named CleanWays volunteer of the year

SMETHPORT —  Jodi Tanner, assistant chief of McKean County adult probation, has been given the 2015 Volunteer Award from Pennsylvania CleanWays of McKean County.

PA CleanWays secretary Jim Clark presented Tanner a certificate and a personalized walking stick at a ceremony at the courthouse Wednesday.

Tanner has assisted the local PA CleanWays Chapter, an affiliate of Keep PA Beautiful, successfully complete beautification and recycling projects in McKean County for several years. The illegal dump clean ups and tire and electronic recycling events would not be successful without the help of the McKean County Adult Probation Office. Tanner is the person who for years has coordinated that cooperation.
