FREDONIA, N.Y. — Pitt-Bradford men’s basketball went on the road to take on Fredonia Friday night. After almost losing a comfortable lead at the end the Panthers won 103-101 to improve to 5-0.
Pitt-Bradford led 53-41 at halftime. Fredonia came out of the locker room strong to start the second half though making it 53-51 within the first three minutes. The Panthers developed a larger lead as the half went on as they led 96-85 with 4:24 left in the game.
The Blue Devils made another nice run and were only down 101-100 with 1:14 remaining. Pitt-Bradford closed out the rest of the game without allowing another field goal to win 103-101.
Jesse Laster led the Panthers in points and rebounds with 21 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Coby Farley also scored 16 points while Xander Norris had 15 points and three steals.
Martin Garza was the main man for Fredonia scoring 30 points with 8 rebounds. Brandon Kulakowski also scored 26 points for the Blue Devils.
With the victory Pitt-Bradford continues its best start since joining the NCAA. Fredonia falls to 1-4 on the season. Pitt-Bradford will be back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 3 when they travel to Division 1 Buffalo. Fredonia will next play on Monday at Elmira College.
