PORT ALLEGANY — Guided walking tours of the grisly history of Port Allegany will be held between 5 and 7:30 p.m. today.
Tours will start at the Port Allegany Town Square and will cover the first murder in the borough, the curious tale of Uzza Robbins and an unsolved murder mystery. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Proceeds will go to the Port Allegany Historical Society.
Walking tours will start every 15 minutes and cover about 5 blocks. Tours will end with a historical society presentation at Union Cemetery. Participants may also come to the Inn on Maple Street for refreshments. The event is sponsored by the Port Allegany Lions Club.
