CNN recently named their list of the 25 most underrated destinations. Buffalo, N.Y., and the Pennsylvania Wilds both made the cut.

The list promised readers 25 destinations that “remain refreshingly underrated despite the surge” in travelers.

The destinations were listed geographically, from the North East to the Pacific.

Buffalo was mentioned as a city with beautiful structures such as the Art Deco City Hall and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House. The city’s revamped waterfront gets a mention too, as does its proximity to Niagara Falls.

Standing in contrast to the city life, the Pennsylvania Wilds make the list as one of the least populated areas of the continental United States. The list specifically mentions the Allegany National Forest as only one of the 29 state or federal parks that the Wilds encompass.
