GALETON — Trump supporters as well as those wishing to raise funds for local flood victims are expected to turn out “Bigly” to show support for President Donald J. Trump.
In 2020, approximately 600 motorcycle riders participated in the original ride “Trump Thunder in God’s Country,” followed one month later with “Trump Thunder in Canyon Country” which attracted almost 400 riders as well.
The ride will travel through areas heavily impacted by the recent floods, and riders will see the devastation to parts of Potter and Tioga counties. Registration for the ride will begin at 11 a.m. and wrap up at 12:45 p.m. The donation for the ride is $10.00 per person. Kids are free but must register for the ride.
Riders can donate to either the flood victims or Bikers for Trump toward their assistance for Trump’s campaign. The money raised for the local flood victims will be distributed through the local fire companies, who are doing a tremendous job aiding the victims.
The 84 mile ride will depart from Larry’s Sport Center, located five miles west of Galeton on Route 6, at 1 p.m. sharp. Fuel up before arrival, as the group will not have any stops. If a participant needs to stop along the route, we ask that they wait along the road until the group completely passes them.
Cars and trucks are invited to participate and show their support for Trump and the flood victims; we must insist that they allow the motorcycles to go first and follow behind, maintaining safety for all. Local food trucks including Darby’s BBQ and S & L Cafe’ will be offering food for riders and all Trump supporters at the Rally following the end of the ride at Larry’s Sport Center.
The popular local band “NO LIMITS” will be performing before the ride departs at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Speakers will include Potter County Republican Chairman Don Kudrick endorsing and promoting Trump’s re-election. A dunk tank, a stacyc bicycle demo track for kids 12 and under, as well as other family-friendly attractions are being planned.
We’d Love to see Trump and local flood victim supporters lining the route with their flags. The route will include Galeton, Gaines, Sabinsville, Westfield, Cowanesque Valley School, North Fork Road, Whites Corners Road, Pleasant Valley Road, Dandy Sweden Valley, Kibbe’s Concrete, Northern Potter School, Ulysses, Fox Hill Farms, Brookland, and return to Larry’s.
